The professionals at Maison de la Randonnée offer off-the-beaten-track treks for everyone, even those who think snowshoeing might be too much like hard work! A beautiful experience to enjoy by yourself, with family or with friends.

A wide variety of snowshoeing activities on offer all winter long:

- Snowshoeing "tout schuss": a varied programme of downhill snowshoe treks, departing mornings and afternoons throughout the winter from Plagne Montalbert or the top of le Fornelet cable car. Tremendous fun and open to anyone, these off-piste downhill trails allow you to immerse yourself in the unspoilt splendour of the snowy mountains.
Departure around 09:10, return around 11:30
Departure around 14:10, return around 16:45

- "Trappers' snowshoe treks", all day or half-day: A naturalistic approach to discovering the secret, remote corners of the snowy mountains.
Take a magical trip into nature and learn to recognize and understand the animal tracks and the wildlife of the mountain forests. For all-day hikes, bring your own sandwiches, and we'll supply the tea, coffee and coffee maker.

- Minibus-getaway trek, half day or day: Get out of the resort without having to worry about doing the driving and discover the wild, unspoilt areas of the valley: The plateau and the panoramas of Notre Dame du Pré, half day, the wild valley of Beaufortain or the ibex wintering grounds in the Vanoise Park. A total change of scenery far from your resort in the heart of the Tarentaise.
Departure 09:00 back around 11:45

- Night-time walk with a meal and an introduction to astronomy: A night-time snowshoe outing and gourmet getaway in a mountain chalet for a delicious Savoyard meal (traditional fondue and local dessert). Introduction to astronomy to familiarize you with the stars and enable you to recognize the main constellations visible in winter. Special outings when there's a full moon!
Departure around 18h-19h, return around 22h-23h.

- Nordic walking on snowy terrain: Nordic Snowshoe Walking techniques – first steps.
The sessions are friendly and great fun for all.
They are intended to help you acquire basic Nordic walking techniques specially adapted for snowy terrain.
The activity is healthy and accessible to all because it allows you to walk and balance equally well whether you're going uphill or coming down.
Walking in this way allows you to exercise 80% of your body's muscle mass while discovering a wilderness where the snow remains untouched.
Every Monday and Wednesday morning from the Tourist Office.
Departure 09:15 return around 11:30.
